What's this? A market for Ants?
Existing Market
1.
I believe the next thing we need to do is formulate
a business plan and simultaneously start making prototypes of what our product.
2.
I interviewed my roommates to ask what they
thought and they believed the next step I haven’t taken into account is
building capital and researching patents to make sure we can move forward with prototyping
a unique product.
3.
The path forward is to build and test a
prototype while making a business plan. The next step would be to get a lawyer
and start negotiating with Publix, Winn Dixie, and Hitchcock’s, the regional grocery
store chains. Then move on to CVS, and Walgreens, then Walmart and Target.
New Market
1.
If my Business is B2B then a new market would be
B2C.
2.
We would build a website where customers can
customize cards and send them through email or in person delivery.
3.
I again interviewed my roommates who thought the
venture in this form would be too costly as it would need to include,
production and distribution which would require way more capital than I have.
4.
What surprised me the most was the scale of
difference one market’s needs are from another.
I think the B2C market is an awesome idea and better than the B2C market once the idea is up and running. If people do it online they can use images and files from their own computers to easily personalize their cards from the convenience and comfort of their homes
